Who is Gillian Maddigan?

Gillian Maddigan is a Communication Coach. Her ability to read and understand human beings is as unique as it is profound.
Gillian trained in Psychosomatic Therapy with her father, Hermann Müller, founder of the Psychosomatic Therapy College on the Gold Coast. After the tragic loss of her husband in a workplace accident, she became a single mother to a toddler. Seeking a fresh start and a broader perspective, she moved to the Gold Coast, where she began working alongside her father and his wife, Marie, as they developed Psychosomatic Therapy. She edited Hermann's educational books and manuals while working hands-on in her own practice and managed events for festivals across Australia, sharing Psychosomatics through Face Reading.
The unexpected turns in Gillian’s life led her to her vocation — understanding how the mind and body communicate. Beginning her journey in the 1990s, she was inspired by prominent teachers and energy workers such as Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, the Dalai Lama, Louise Hay, and Esther Hicks. Their insights, along with her father’s influence, sparked her dedication to help others and motivated her to gain a wide range of qualifications in mind, body, emotions, and energy work, including:
Level 1 & 2 Reiki
Deep Tissue Therapeutic Bodywork
Emotional Release Practitioner
Master of Clinical Hypnosis
Master of Neuro-Linguistic Programming
Diploma in Teaching Psychosomatic Therapy
In her work, Gillian reads faces and body language, offering clients insight into how they present themselves to the world. She teaches practical skills and provides coaching so clients can apply them in the “game of life.” Her guidance helps people communicate effectively in professional, social, and personal settings.
Her expertise in reading faces and body language developed over 15 years of participating in Mind Body and Spirit festivals with her father and many colleagues, starting in 1995. They participated in events across Australia, sometimes reading up to 40 faces each per day. These experiences built the speed, accuracy, and intuitive understanding that form the foundation of her work today.
Gillian’s passion ignites others to understand their own body language and decode non-verbal cues for more authentic communication and empathetic connection. She helps clients and students reflect on life experiences, transforming these insights into lasting personal growth and meaningful relationships.
With over 30 years of experience, Gillian has shared her message on live and virtual stages, in webinars, podcasts, symposiums, and retreats. She is committed to training and coaching as many people as possible to become confident communicators and ever-evolving masters of connection.
Beyond her professional work, Gillian has been a volunteer Lifesaver for over 20 years, training young Nippers to become the lifesavers of the future while volunteering on the beach to support the public. She says, “Watching, teaching, and coaching people and children as they learn is the best way to experience body language in action and personal growth in a real-world setting.”
